After My Own Heart

$5.00

Launched in 2006 by San Francisco perfumer Ineke Ruhland, After My Own Heart is the first in her alphabetized series of scents.

A soliflore based on lilac it opens with a tang of green bergamot, made fruity and tart by raspberry. The green notes carry into the heart where it’s all about the lilac – beautiful, clean lilac. Sandalwood, heliotrope and musk soften it and give it a powdery dry-down.

Gilded Lily

$5.00

Presenting the Goldband Lily as the pure heart of her most recent fragrance, Ineke  Ruhland opens the scent with a fruit medley – grapefruit, pineapple, rhubarb, and bergamot. I smell the sweetness of the flower, then tangy citrus from grapefruit and bergamot and juicy, slightly under-ripe pineapple, balanced by sour rhubarb and elemi – a perfectly genius fruit accord, which creates the sensation of catching  the airborne scents of the fresh fruits, rather than their intense tastes on your tongue!

Field Notes from Paris

$5.00

Canadian born indie perfumer, Ineke Ruhland, moved to Europe as a young woman to study perfume.  After graduating from the Institut Supérieur International - Parfum Cosmétique Aromatique or ISIPCA, in Versailles, she opened up her own shop in San Francisco in 2006. Currently there are seven scents in the line. Each one tells a story and the names are all built around the alphabet. So ‘A’ is represented by After my Own Heart, ‘B’ represented by Balmy Days and Sundays and so on. For me, the standout is ‘F’ Field Notes from Paris.
