Chanel No.5

Posted in

I read recently that Chanel No. 5, which was created by Ernst Beaux and  launched in 1921, is still the best-selling fragrance in the world. It’s a floral, with rose, jasmine, etc. but the notes don’t really matter. The fact remains that it is a brilliant composition and a beautiful scent that every person who buys perfume should experience. Chanel No. 5 is a benchmark.

Introduced in the 1950’s and then re-introduced in 1986, the Eau de Toilette is slightly softer than the original parfum, but it has the beautiful peachy aldehydic floral magic with the powdery sillage that is loved around the world.

I've worn  it all my life - this is my fifth bottle but my first EdT. I love it.

Notes: Citrus, rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, aldehydes, violet, musk, woods, and other notes.
