Gwen:        Well, here we are – another Wednesday. What are we talking about today?

Kay:           Gwen, how many Fabulous Fathers do you know?

Gwen         I don’t know, let me think… oh right, I get it. Father’s Day is soon, isn’t it?

Kay:           Yup, June 21st to be exact, which isn’t far away. We’re having a huge family barbecue. Everyone’s been summoned - sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives by marriage, honorary members, stray neighbours. It’ll be a blast. Are you doing anything special for all the Fabulous Dads in your family?

Gwen:        Same as you – big family dinner honouring the guys who are Dads in my life. With so many Dads in one place, you really get an amazing assortment of different types of fathers.

Kay:           You know, it might be fun to match frags with Dad types. For example, my favourite uncle loves boating, so I’ll match him with Eight + Bob, the fragrance loved by John and Bobby Kennedy.

Gwen:        That’s a great frag for any sailor. My brother-in-law is definitely the corporate type. Jil Sander Man for him.

Kay:           My son, the artist, is into statement pieces, so I’ll go with Bruno Fazzolari Lampblack for him.

Gwen:        My brother loves cars so I’d recommend Nostalgia by Santa Maria Novella for him. And my nephew loves video games! One of his favorites is Centurion: Defender of Rome. Victrix by Profumum Roma is definitely for him.

Kay:           My Dad loves a good scotch---- Spirit of the Glen by D.S.& Durga for him! And my adventurous traveller nephew will be matched with Kenzo Jungle Homme.

Gwen:        My father-in-law loves good clothes, and is quite the dresser, I’ll match him with Penhaligon’s Sartorial. You know, this is kind of fun.

Kay:           I think I’m going to give our guys decants of the frags we’ve matched them up with - just a little something, a little gift to honour them as Fabulous Fathers.

Gwen:        Now that should make them feel really special! That’s a great idea, I’ll do that, too.

Kay:           So that leaves the guys who aren’t fathers. What about them? Do they get anything?

Gwen:        Nope.  It’s FATHERS’ DAY….

Kay:           Right. Let them go forth and multiply…..
