Created by Isabelle Doyen for Annick Goutal this scent is a knock-out! It smells of tar and smoke and new car. And while this might not sound appealing, in this frag they are combined in such a way, and with other ingredients, that the result is an elegant, refined and gorgeous EDT.
It opens with tar and bitter orange, then gets smoky and leathery from tea. Osmanthus and tea flower give it a floral/fruity note along with a slight sweetness, while clove gives it spicy warmth.
Eau du Fier Bulgari Black and Comme des Garçons Tar make a nice little trio based on their rubber/tar notes. Compared to Bulgari Black, Eau du Fier but has more depth and dimension, and is smoother and more elegant than Tar. Eau du Fier is a class act and perfect for both men and women to wear.
